<p class="p">Alle, die den Y2K Style genauso feiern wie unsere Insta-Lieblinge, können den Modetrend aktuell in den meisten Läden shoppen<em>. </em>Oder aber, ihr werft mal einen Blick in euren Kleiderschrank. Vielleicht findet sich ja noch das ein oder andere längst vergessene Schätzchen aus vergangenen Zeiten.</p>
<h2 id="title_1" class="title wp-block-heading">Was genau steckt hinter dem Modetrend &#8222;Y2K&#8220;?</h2>
<p class="p">Ihr hört den Begriff &#8222;Y2K&#8220; bzw. &#8222;Y2K Style&#8220; zum ersten Mal und habt keine Ahnung, was sich dahinter verbirgt? Was nach einer kryptischen Abkürzung klingt, bezeichnet schlichtweg nichts anderes als die Mode der 2000er-Jahre. Das Akronym steht somit für &#8222;Year 2000&#8220; (Y = Year (dt. Jahr); 2K = 2 Kilo = 2000).<br>

Das Kürzel bezeichnete ursprünglich ein Computerproblem, den sogenannten Y2K-Bug oder auch Millennium Bug, der aufgrund des Jahrtausendwechsels auftrat. Viele PCs waren nämlich auf die zeitliche Umstellung nicht ausgelegt, sodass die neue Jahreszahl nicht angezeigt wurde.<br>
<br>
Heute taucht der Begriff nur noch in Verbindung mit dem Style der Nullerjahre auf. Expert*innen zufolge steht das Aufleben der 00er-Jahre im Zusammenhang mit der Corona-Pandemie. Y2K sei somit ein Zeichen der Sehnsucht nach vergangenen (besseren) Zeiten.<br>

Auf den Social Media Plattformen stößt man auf allerlei Fashion-Inspo, auf Instagram gibt es unter dem Hashtag Y2K mittlerweile über 4,2 Millionen Beiträge. Und auch so gut wie alle bekannten Modeshops haben passende Teile in ihr Sortiment aufgenommen.</p>

<h2 id="title_2" class="title wp-block-heading">2000er Mode: Was macht den Y2K Style aus?</h2>
<p class="p">Von ausgewaschenen Low-Waist-Jeans, über hautenge Tops mit Schmetterling-Print und kurze Cardigans, bis hin zu klobigen Schuhen und Bling Bling ist alles dabei, was das 2000er-Herz höher schlagen lässt – oder, im gegenteiligen Fall, einen dazu veranlasst, schnell die Flucht zu ergreifen.<br>

Der Y2K Style ist gewagt, schrill und ja, immer ein wenig drüber. Fashion-Profis umschreiben den Stil sogar als futuristisch und rebellisch. Kurze Crop Tops, Bandeau-Oberteile mit Strass-Applikationen, Allover-Denim-Looks und weite Baggy-Hosen stehen sinnbildlich für die Mode der 2000er-Jahre. Dazu gibt es Sonnenbrillen mit bunten Gläsern, bunte Prints, kitschigen Schmuck, gehäkelte Bucket Hats und kleine Taschen wie Baguette Bags.<br>

Geprägt wurde der Stil der Nullerjahre ganz besonders von It-Girls wie Paris Hilton, die mit ihren rosafarbenen &#8222;Juicy Couture&#8220;-Jogginghosen aus Nicki-Stoff und mit Strasssteinen besetzt, einen regelrechten Hype auslöste. Auch die damaligen Looks von BFF Nicole Richie, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan sowie Christina Aguilera machen sie zu Ikonen des heutigen Y2K Styles. Nicht zu vergessen sind zudem zahlreiche 2000er-Teenie-Filme, allen voran &#8222;Clueless&#8220; oder &#8222;Girls Club&#8220;, in denen die Charaktere mit ihren für die damalige Zeit typischen Outfits für extreme Begeisterung sorgten.</p>

<p class="p">Während die meisten Millennials, also all diejenigen, die den Trend tatsächlich miterlebt haben, sich wenig begeistert über das Fashion-Revival zeigen, kann die Generation Z gar nicht genug von Y2K-Mode bekommen. Auch Stars wie Dua Lipa und Bella Hadid sind absolute Y2K-Fans und zeigen sich auf ihren Instagram Accounts fast täglich in schrillen Retro-Looks.<br>

Dua Lipa begeisterte ihre Fans jüngst mit einem Look aus gelber Baggy-Jeans und einem bauchfreien, durchsichtigen Oberteil in blassem Grün, unter dem sie einen ebenfalls semi-transparenten BH mit Blümchen-Applikationen trug. Dazu kombinierte die Sängerin mehrere bunte Armreifen und Ringe, eine knallpinke Bag, neongelbe Sandaletten und eine grün-weiße Cap mit kindlichen Frosch-Motiven.</p>

<p class="p">Der Y2K-Trend ist derzeit omnipräsent, sodass ihr in fast allen bekannten Modeshops passende Kleidungsstücke und Accessoires finden könnt. Wie ihr den Stil der Nullerjahre umsetzt, ist ganz euch überlassen, denn bei diesem Trend gibt es keine Regeln. Höchstens eine: Dezent war gestern.<br>

Je nachdem, worin ihr euch wohlfühlt, könnt ihr zum Beispiel auf den Allover-Look setzen und zu Baggy Jeans, Crop Top und Bucket Hat greifen. Oder aber ihr wählt nur ein oder wenige Teile im 2000er-Look und kombiniert diese mit Pieces aus der heutigen Zeit. <p class="p">Rund um die Jahrtausendwende war auch ein Look beliebt: Rock oder Kleid über der Hose. Auch heute ist der Layering-Style wieder voll angesagt. Anstatt jedoch wild die beiden Kleidungsstücke drauflos zu mixen, solltet ihr euch genau überlegen, welche Teile gut zusammenpassen. Harmonieren sie gut in Farbe und Material? Dann spricht nix dagegen, sie übereinander zu tragen. Besonders zur kalten Jahreszeit kommt uns der Trend nämlich total entgegen.</p>
