<p>Kennengelernt hatten sich die beiden 1998. Bereits ein Jahr später machte Pitt der &#8222;Friends&#8220;-Schauspielerin einen Antrag. Am 29. Juli 2000 gaben sie sich auf einem privaten Anwesen in Malibu das Jawort. Die Hochzeit galt als eines der Society-Highlights des Jahres: Sie soll rund eine Million Dollar gekostet haben – inklusive eines spektakulären Feuerwerks und Live-Auftritten mehrerer Bands.</p>

<p>Filmreif war damals auch die Ausstattung: Die Location soll mit 50.000 Rosen, Tulpen und anderen Blumen geschmückt gewesen sein. Unter den 200 Gästen waren laut US-Medien prominente Kolleginnen und Kollegen wie Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Edward Norton, Salma Hayek und Cameron Diaz.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-verhangnisvolle-dreharbeiten">Verhängnisvolle Dreharbeiten</h2>



<p>2003 lernte Brad Pitt bei den Dreharbeiten zu &#8222;Mr. &; Mrs. Smith&#8220; schließlich seine spätere Partnerin Angelina Jolie kennen. Schon bald machten erste Spekulationen die Runde, denn die beiden wurden auch abseits des Sets immer häufiger zusammen gesehen. Jolie erinnerte sich 2007 in der &#8222;Vogue&#8220;, dass sie es damals kaum erwarten konnte, zur Arbeit zu gehen. &#8222;Alles, was wir zusammen machten, war einfach voller Spaß und echter Teamarbeit. Wir wurden ganz natürlich zu so etwas wie einem Paar.&#8220;</p>

<p>Allerdings war Brad Pitt damals noch mit Jennifer Aniston verheiratet. Auch darüber sprach Jolie in dem Interview: &#8222;Ich wusste nicht viel darüber, wie es Brad privat ging. Aber es war klar, dass er mit seinem besten Freund zusammen war, den er liebt und respektiert.&#8220; Sie fügte hinzu: &#8222;Ich glaube, es dauerte bis zum Ende der Dreharbeiten, bis uns klar wurde, dass es mehr bedeuten könnte, als wir uns zuvor zugetraut hatten. Und wir wussten beide, dass die Realität eine große Sache war, etwas, das ernsthafte Überlegungen erfordern würde.&#8220;</p>



<p>Pitt und Aniston verkündeten schließlich am 7. Januar 2005 ihr Ehe-Aus. &#8222;Wir möchten bekannt geben, dass wir uns nach sieben gemeinsamen Jahren offiziell getrennt haben. Für alle, die solche Dinge verfolgen, möchten wir erklären, dass unsere Trennung nicht das Ergebnis der Spekulationen der Boulevardpresse ist&#8220;, betonten die beiden in einer gemeinsamen Erklärung gegenüber &#8222;People&#8220;. Die Entscheidung sei &#8222;das Ergebnis reiflicher Überlegung&#8220;.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-scheidung-im-jahr-2005">Scheidung im Jahr 2005</h2>



<p>Aniston reichte wenige Wochen später, am 25. März 2005, die Scheidung wegen &#8222;unüberbrückbarer Differenzen&#8220; ein. Die Ehe wurde noch im selben Jahr am 2. Oktober 2005 rechtskräftig geschieden.</p>



<p>Wie jedoch erst Jahre später bekannt wurde, war die Ehe von Brad Pitt und Jennifer Aniston wohl schon vor seiner Begegnung mit Angelina Jolie nicht mehr so harmonisch, wie es nach außen wirkte. &#8222;Sie haben sich getrennt, weil sie ernsthafte Probleme hatten&#8220;, sagte eine Quelle 2018 <a href="https://people.com/movies/a-jennifer-aniston-and-brad-pitt-reunion-seems-unlikely-they-havent-seen-each-other-in-ages/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">dem US-Magazin &#8222;People&#8220;</a>. Die Ehe habe einfach nicht funktioniert.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-ihr-neues-leben-nach-der-trennung">Ihr neues Leben nach der Trennung</h2>



<p>Die Trennung des vermeintlichen Traumpaares sorgte weltweit für viele Schlagzeilen. Während Brad Pitt mit Angelina Jolie zusammenkam und eine Familie aufbaute, wurde Jennifer Aniston oft als die unglücklich Verlassene dargestellt – ohne Mann, ohne Kinder. Im Laufe der Jahre musste sie sich immer wieder Fragen zum Thema Kinderwunsch gefallen lassen. Erst 2022 sprach sie offen in &#8222;Allure&#8220; darüber, dass sie lange Zeit versucht habe, schwanger zu werden, es aber auch mit In-Vitro-Fertilisation nicht geklappt habe.</p>



<p>Mit einer dauerhaften Beziehung hat es für Jennifer Aniston ebenfalls nicht funktioniert. Dabei orientierte sie sich nach dem Ehe-Aus schnell neu. Während der Dreharbeiten zu &#8222;Trennung mit Hindernissen&#8220; im Sommer 2005 kam sie mit ihrem Kollegen Vince Vaughn (55) zusammen. Danach war sie rund ein Jahr lang mit dem Sänger John Mayer (47) liiert. 2015 heiratete sie erneut, doch auch die Ehe mit Schauspieler und Drehbuchautor Justin Theroux (53) scheiterte. Im Februar 2018 gab das Paar seine Trennung bekannt.</p>



<p>Bei Brad Pitt lief es bekanntlich ebenfalls nicht nur rund seit 2005. Als &#8222;Brangelina&#8220; wurde er zusammen mit Jolie zunächst zum neuen Traumpaar mit drei Adoptiv- und drei leiblichen Kindern. Im August 2014 folgte die Hochzeit. Zwei Jahre spätere endete die Ehe im Rosenkrieg. Ein jahrelanger Rechtsstreit um das Vermögen und vor allem die Kinder folgte. Im Zuge der Trennung wurde Pitts jahrzehntelange Alkoholabhängigkeit bekannt, die er mit Entzug und Therapien besiegen konnte. Mit Schmuckmanagerin Ines de Ramon (32) hat er sein neues privates Glück gefunden.</p>

<p>Und auch zu seiner ersten Ehefrau soll er ein gutes Verhältnis haben. Als sie sich 2020 bei den Screen Actors Guild Awards begegneten, begrüßten sie sich herzlich. Ein Jahr später betonte Jennifer Aniston in einem Interview mit Howard Stern klar, dass sie und Pitt &#8222;Kumpel&#8220; und &#8222;Freunde&#8220; seien.</p>
