
<p>Rund acht Jahre nach Veröffentlichung des bisher letzten Films der &#8222;Fluch der Karibik&#8220;-Reihe wird bekannt, dass Johnny Depp (62) in die Rolle von Captain Jack Sparrow zurückkehren könnte. Der Star, der mit &#8222;Day Drinker&#8220; bald seine Hollywood-Rückkehr feiert, hat offenbar sein Interesse bekundet.</p>



<p>Schon seit mindestens 2019 gibt es immer wieder Gerüchte und Spekulationen rund um ein &#8222;Pirates of the Caribbean&#8220;-Reboot. Selbst spricht Depp zwar aktuell nicht über ein &#8222;Fluch der Karibik&#8220;-Comeback, aber Erfolgsproduzent Jerry Bruckheimer (81) enthüllt <a href="https://ew.com/jerry-bruckheimer-thinks-johnny-depp-will-do-sixth-pirates-movie-11789189" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">im Interview mit &#8222;Entertainment Weekly&#8220;</a>, dass er mit dem Schauspieler darüber gesprochen hat.</p>

<p>Depp verschließe sich der Idee nicht. &#8222;Wenn ihm gefällt, wie die Rolle geschrieben ist, würde er es meiner Meinung nach machen&#8220;, sagt Bruckheimer. &#8222;Es kommt ganz darauf an, was auf dem Blatt steht, wie wir alle wissen.&#8220; Die Arbeit am Drehbuch sei aber nicht abgeschlossen. &#8222;Wir wollen ihn [Anm. d. Red.: den Film] drehen. Wir müssen nur das richtige Drehbuch finden.&#8220; Noch sei man nicht ganz am Ziel, aber nah dran.</p>



<p>Schon 2024 <a href="https://ew.com/pirates-of-the-caribbean-reboot-margot-robbie-movie-exclusive-8651023" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">sagte Bruckheimer dem Magazin</a>, dass er Depp gerne wieder in der Rolle sehen würde: &#8222;Es ist ein Reboot, aber wenn es nach mir ginge, wäre er dabei. Ich liebe ihn. Er ist ein guter Freund. Er ist ein großartiger Künstler und hat ein einzigartiges Aussehen.&#8220; Der Produzent erklärte auch, dass Depp den Charakter Jack Sparrow gewissermaßen erschaffen habe. &#8222;Das war seine Interpretation von Jack Sparrow&#8220;, erzählte Bruckheimer. So sei die Figur nicht im Drehbuch gestanden, Depp habe die Idee für eine Mischung aus Pepé Le Pew und Keith Richards gehabt.</p>

<p>Der Film &#8222;Day Drinker&#8220; mit Penélope Cruz (51) und Madelyn Cline (27), dessen Veröffentlichung für 2026 erwartet wird, ist Depps erstes größeres Hollywood-Projekt seit seinem Gerichtsstreit mit seiner Ex-Frau, der Schauspielerin Amber Heard (39). Nach einem mehrwöchigen Verleumdungsprozess, in dem sich die früheren Eheleute gegenseitig häusliche Gewalt vorgeworfen hatten, entschied sich das Gericht im Jahr 2022 schließlich vorwiegend zugunsten Depps. In den darauffolgenden Jahren trat Depp unter anderem in dem französischen Film &#8222;Jeanne du Barry&#8220; auf und führte Regie bei &#8222;Modi: Three Days on the Wing of Madness&#8220;, aber auf die große Hollywood-Bühne kehrte er bislang nicht zurück.</p>
