
<p>Nach einer durchwachsenen Tournee und hitzigen Diskussionen in den sozialen Medien hat sich Popstar Justin Timberlake jetzt selbst zu Wort gemeldet – und mit einem ehrlichen Instagram-Post für Klarheit gesorgt. </p>



<p>Der 44-Jährige leidet an Lyme-Borreliose, einer Infektionskrankheit, die durch Zeckenbisse übertragen wird. Die Diagnose kam für ihn überraschend, erklärt aber vieles: seine körperliche Schwäche, die schwindende Energie auf der Bühne und auch das virale TikTok-Video, das ihn eher schlurfend als tanzend zeigt.</p>

<p>Dass seine Fans und Kritiker zuletzt irritiert auf seine Performances reagierten, blieb Timberlake nicht verborgen. Statt weiter zu schweigen, teilte er nun seine Geschichte öffentlich in einem Instagram-Post: „Ich hatte mit einigen gesundheitlichen Problemen zu kämpfen“, schreibt er. „Ich sage das nicht, weil ich Mitleid will, sondern weil ich möchte, dass ihr versteht, was im Hintergrund los war.“ </p>

<p>Die Symptome der Krankheit – darunter Nervenschmerzen, Erschöpfung, Konzentrationsprobleme – hätten ihn auf der Bühne massiv beeinträchtigt. Trotz allem wollte der Sänger seine „Forget Tomorrow“-Tour nicht abbrechen, sondern sie am 30. Juli in der Türkei zu Ende bringen. „Die Freude am Auftreten war größer als der körperliche Stress“, so Timberlake. </p>



<p>Er sei stolz darauf, durchgehalten zu haben. Nicht nur für seine Fans, sondern auch, um sich selbst zu beweisen, dass er mental stark ist.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-was-ist-eigentlich-lyme-borreliose"><strong>Was ist eigentlich Lyme-Borreliose?</strong></h2>



<p>Lyme-Borreliose ist eine bakterielle Infektionskrankheit, die durch Zeckenstiche übertragen wird. Unbehandelt kann sie das Nervensystem, die Gelenke und sogar das Herz angreifen. </p>



<p>Symptome reichen von grippeähnlichem Unwohlsein über wandernde Hautrötungen bis hin zu schwerer Erschöpfung, Lähmungen und Gedächtnisproblemen. Wird sie früh erkannt, kann sie mit Antibiotika gut behandelt werden. Doch gerade bei Prominenten, die permanent auf Tour sind, wird die Diagnose oft spät gestellt.</p>



<p>Timberlake will nun auf seinen Körper hören und sich ausreichend Zeit zur Erholung nehmen. „Ich habe gelernt, dass es okay ist, nicht immer perfekt zu funktionieren“, schreibt er – und trifft damit einen Nerv bei vielen seiner Fans.</p>
