Oder weitermachen und eine Lösung finden?&#8220; Mit selten, äußerst privaten Worten hat der Sänger auf Instagram mitgeteilt, dass bei ihm eine Lyme-Borreliose festgestellt wurde. </p>



<p>Still kämpfte er hinter den Kulissen mit der Erkrankung, die körperlich und psychisch &#8222;unerbittlich kräftezehrend&#8220; sein könne. Auch andere Stars haben zuvor öffentlich gemacht, dass bei ihnen eine Borreliose diagnostiziert wurde.</p>

<p>Justin Bieber (31), über dessen Gesundheit in den vergangenen Jahren viel spekuliert wurde, teilte schon 2020 mit, wie die Erkrankung ihn beeinflusst hatte. Während viele Leute gesagt hätten, dass er schlecht aussehe oder auf Meth sei, &#8222;haben sie nicht realisiert, dass bei mir kürzlich Borreliose diagnostiziert wurde&#8220;, schrieb er <a href="https://people.com/health/justin-bieber-breaks-silence-on-lyme-disease/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">laut eines damaligen Berichts des US-Magazins &#8222;People&#8220;</a> auf Instagram. Dazu sei ein schwerer Fall von Pfeifferschem Drüsenfieber gekommen, was seine &#8222;Haut, Gehirnfunktion, Energie und allgemeine Gesundheit&#8220; beeinträchtigt habe.</p>

<p>Im September desselben Jahres schrieb auch Amy Schumer (44) auf der Social-Media-Plattform über die Krankheit. Die Komikerin und Schauspielerin fragte fast schon beiläufig, ob sich jemand ihrer Followerinnen und Follower in diesem Sommer infiziert habe. Sie selbst hätte Borreliose &#8222;vielleicht schon seit Jahren&#8220; und bekomme derzeit ein Antibiotikum. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt fühlte sie sich gut, die Fans sollten ihr aber Ratschläge geben.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-ben-stiller">Ben Stiller</h2>



<p>Schauspieler Ben Stiller (59) sprach im Jahr 2011 <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/ben-stiller-zoolander-tower-heist-eddie-murphy-253286/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">mit dem Branchenmagazin &#8222;The Hollywood Reporter&#8220;</a> über die Erkrankung. Er habe sich auf Nantucket in Massachusetts vor einigen Jahren infiziert. &#8222;Mein Knie entzündete sich, und sie konnten nicht herausfinden, was es war&#8220;, erzählte er. &#8222;Dann fanden sie heraus, dass es Borreliose war. Ich bin jetzt symptomfrei, aber Lyme-Borreliose verlässt den Körper nie. Es ist eine wirklich schwierige Sache.&#8220;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-avril-lavigne">Avril Lavigne</h2>



<p>Avril Lavigne (40) berichtete im Jahr 2015 <a href="https://people.com/celebrity/avril-lavigne-lyme-disease-singer-was-bedridden-for-5-months/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">im Gespräch mit &#8222;People&#8220;</a>, dass sie nach ihrer Infektion fünf Monate lang bettlägerig gewesen sei. &#8222;Ich hatte keine Ahnung, dass ein Insektenstich so etwas bewirken kann&#8220;, erklärte sie. &#8222;Ich hatte das Gefühl, nicht mehr atmen, nicht mehr sprechen und mich nicht mehr bewegen zu können. Ich dachte, ich würde sterben.&#8220; Sie zeigte sich aber optimistisch. &#8222;Ich glaube, dass ich aus dieser Situation gesünder und stärker hervorgehen werde als zuvor&#8220;, sagte die Sängerin wenig später &#8222;Good Morning America&#8220;.</p>



<p>Auch weitere Stars haben in den vergangenen Jahren eine Borreliose-Erkrankung öffentlich gemacht. Dazu gehören unter anderem der Schauspieler Alec Baldwin (67), die Sängerin Shania Twain (59), das Model Bella Hadid (28), deren Mutter Yolanda (61), die Schauspielerin Riley Keough (36), Marvel-Star Mark Ruffalo (57) und Kelly Osbourne (40), die Tochter der kürzlich verstorbenen Metal-Legende Ozzy Osbourne (1948-2025).</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-was-ist-lyme-borreliose">Was ist Lyme-Borreliose?</h2>



<p>Bei der Lyme-Borreliose &#8211; oder auch Borreliose und Lyme-Krankheit &#8211; handelt es sich um eine durch Bakterien verursachte Infektion, die laut Robert Koch-Institut (RKI) durch Stiche von Zecken auf Menschen übertragen wird. Es ist demzufolge keine direkte Ansteckung von Mensch zu Mensch möglich. Von der Erkrankung können unterschiedliche Organsysteme betroffen sein, darunter insbesondere Haut, Nervensystem und Gelenke.</p>
